Just got back from FOB. My feet are dead. Oh, God, so, so dead.
My heart is exceptionally happy, though. Patrick Stump still owns it. I think he's got a little bit of my soul now too.

So, first ever concert. Good stuff. :-)

Things that were pure love:

Fall Out Boy. It was a great show. All four of them were really good, and Patrick is--I am now completely convinced--a golden god. Basically, he sounded really, really good. I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy was the only song that was seriously off (I have no idea what happened there. It sounded like Patrick and Joe were singing/playing in different keys almost)

The song selection. They managed to play nearly all of my favourites, including A Little Less 16 Candles, Nobody Puts Baby In a Corner and Saturday. I was very pleased.

Us managing to get places something like 10 m from the stage and people in front being friggin' short. Great view of everything.

The drummer in Hey Monday dropping one of his drumsticks mid-song and keeping on playing with his left hand only while bending down behind his kit to search for the one he lost.

Patrick Stump

OMG, PATRICK STUMP!

The looks, the smiles, the little moves, the walking across the stage, the voice. The hands and how he kept doing these little things where he was curling them around the mike and making magical little patterns that turned me into a 14-year-old fangirly melted puddle on the floor. Jesus Christ, that guy is hot. So great to watch live too, I mean, he really puts his heart into it. It was a fantastic performance. Also, he did Family Guy impersonations, which, just ♥

Pete putting his hand up the front of Patrick's shirt, pulling it almost completely off Patrick's body and showing off yummy pale chest and stomach. Twice. :-D

A guy in the line looking A LOT like Pete (face, hairdo, the works), AND wearing all Clan clothes. Me and [livejournal.com profile] fannyt immediately decided that there needs to be pete-waiting-in-line-at-his-own-show-and-pretending-to-be-a-normal-fan fic written. Possibly with funny accents and Patrick in a wig.

Things that were good:

Hey Monday. I was surprised. I've listened to them on YouTube and didn't really like them that much. They played about six songs I think. The first three I really enjoyed. Then I started to get bored. Thumbs up for Cassadee, though. She sounds better live than recorded.

Pete's outfit. Jeans and a grey and blue jacket. I kind of loved the combination. Also, seeing Andy in nothing but surfer's shorts and tattoos is kind of adorably funny.

Things that were kind of nah *shrugs*:

Kids in Glass Houses. Their look was amazing, as well as energy and performance, but the music didn't connect with me at all. I couldn't remember a single melody even five minutes after they went off stage.

Things that were just annoying:

The lack of cloakrooms at the O2. There is nowhere to put your stuff. You have to carry it with you. This is London, people. It's not a city known for its beautifully warm and sunny weather. People need to wear coats and scarves here. And holding on to all your warm clothes in the middle of a moving floor is 1) friggin' hard, and 2) just ridiculous.

The long, LONG breaks between the different bands. Yeah, so I get that the techs needed time to change the stage and stuff, but we're talking almost half an hour between acts. Not good.

Bad sound from the mikes when Pete and Patrick were talking. I didn't catch more than 20%, which really sucked.

Things that I just wanted to kill with pointy stones:

The 12-, 13-, 14-, 15- and 16-year-olds who were 1) drunk off their asses, 2) pushing like hell, 3) having spontaneous dance-offs in the middle of the crowd, meaning that they basically pushed each other into the people next to them. I have bruises from being elbowed everywhere, and while jumping up and down is great, throwing yourself into someone's back to "make a wave" or kicking people in the head when trying to crowd surf is just not cool. I'm sure there were lovely 12-year-olds there as well, but there were literally hundreds that behaved like complete dicks (and who seemed to be at the gig mainly for screwing around and getting drunk with their friends, which I think there are better places for, tbh).

But yeah, to sum up: ♥
FOB live is kind of ridiculously amazing. :-)
