Brendon/Ryan, ~25,000 words

Panic! beginnings and my all-time favourite character study of teenage Brendon and the early Ryan/Brendon dynamic.

2) And Some You Do For by softlyforgotten
Mostly gen, beginnings of Brendon/Ryan. ~45,000 words

Brendon Urie is lonely, Spencer Smith and Jon Walker are bored, and life in Thornton Hill seems like it's never going to be anything but mundane. Then a mysterious stranger sets up shop on Main Street, and suddenly everything is a little more magical.

Completely lovely. This is magical and rich and such a satisfying read. I love it to little pieces. And there are a bunch of codas to it too. :)

3) Imagine Knowing Me by fannyt
P!atD Gen, ~52,000 words

The year the Panic boys start at Hogwarts, something is wrong with the Sorting Hat.

The Harry Potter/Bandom fusion of my heart. Plays out during Chamber of Secrets and works extremely well within the canon of that book. Magical and wonderful. (Prisoner of Azkaban sequel has been posted as well.)

4) That First Inconceivable Touch by addictedkitten
Brendon/Ryan, not sure how long. ~4,000-ish?

Ryan never gets what he wants like this. It's just not how his life works.

THE fic that dragged me into bandom. Teen dynamics, anonymity and desperation. I've probably read it a million times by now.

5) Posing in a Ballroom by arctic_grey
Multiple pairings, ~136,000 words

They have it all: money, fame and a strong foothold in the New York scene of the young and the beautiful. But past the exterior, they are struggling to survive and keep their secrets to themselves as lines between lovers, friends and enemies begin to blur together.

This fic manages to be twisted and complex and funny and sexy all in one. So, so interesting and completely addictive.

6) Prostitution Is the World's Oldest Profession by scribblinlenore
Pete/Patrick, ~5,000 words

AU with hooker!Patrick and stalkery music exec Pete (the stalkery part is not AU)

Pete needs a date to his ex's wedding and hires an escort. And manages to fall in love with him the moment they meet. One of the funniest fics I've ever read. I love this one to little pieces.

7) Let Each Who Is Worthy by moku_youbi
Panic GSF, ~86,000 words

Brendon has his religious crisis but never meets Panic! and goes away on his mission after high school.

Long and complex and wonderful GSF with what is probably my favourite Brendon characterisation ever. Dark and gritty in the best of ways and so, so nicely balanced.

8) Sometimes I Long to Be Landlocked by tequilideas
Jon/Spencer, ~22,000 words

Panic breaks up and Spencer has an existential crisis that results in muffins.

My favourite Jon/Spencer fic. Domestic and wonderful and fluffy, but still with a dark edge to it. Love, love, love.

9) So, So Fucked by reni_days
Pete/Patrick, ~12,000 words

Pete and Patrick accidentally out themselves on Good Morning America. Only problem? They're not gay. What now?

Fake boyfriends is one of my all-time favourite tropes, and this fic does it brilliantly. I especially love Pete in this one.

10) Drink Me by cest_what
Brendon/Ryan, ~10,000 words

Steampunk AU. The worst thing was that Ryan, the boy with the newsboy cap and the shy smile, didn't know about the love potion.

Wonderful steampunk AU. The whole world and vibe of the fic is excellent, and the story itself is just too adorable for words.

LOL probably not. i don't get nearly as much time to read these days, so i've found that everyone else on my flist has read four or five times the amount of fic i have.

but i'll give it a shot, anyway. hopefully i can narrow it down to ten. =)

i'm going to leave out the unholyverse and the forever now series because i'm assuming you've read them.

Gerard's life takes a strange turn when his family moves to a small town in Vermont and he discovers the locals aren't all what they seem to be. Also includes: unexpected nature walks, murder, pining, improper treatment of crime scenes, a number of bone-related puns, high school bullies, and a short-range shrub named Ferdinand.
