Short end of scene that got cut from the real draft of the Ryden backstory for Nightingale today. I might revamp it into a drunken Spencer-bitches-to-Jon scene for the Joncer arc if I can get it to work. Either way, you can haz preview. :-)


[Spencer and Ryan are watching movies in Spencer's apartment and talking about Brendon and how much Ryan fails at not dating him.]

“Uh-huh. Listen, Ryan, you know that you don't actually live in a historical romance novel, don't you?”

Ryan flips him off. Spencer just smiles wider and stuffs another handful of popcorn in his mouth. “Shut up. It's not like that.”

“You are speaking to each other through the fucking language of flowers,” Spencer says, exasperated. “How is that not a way to get in each other's pants?”

“If I wanted in his pants, I'm pretty sure I could just go over there and ask,” Ryan says, narrowing his eyes. “Stop making fun of me, Spence. This is hard enough as it is.”

“Oh, I bet it is.”

Ryan groans. “Jesus Christ, sometimes I swear that you and he are the same person. Let's just watch the movie, okay?”
